In our restaurant, we concentrate on delicious freshly cooked food using local produce.

In the morning wake up to a full English breakfast or if you fancy something lighter try free range scrambled eggs on toast, fresh fruit or sample one of our breakfast omelettes. At the end of a long day spent walking or sightseeing come back to an excellent three-course meal in our welcoming dining room, cooked by owner and Leiths trained chef Stephen. We also offer a selection of wines at reasonable prices and hope you enjoy our recommendations. We are happy to cater for vegetarian diets, however please let us know in advance.

The cosy "Skiddaw View" Bar and Lounge - a fully licensed residents bar offering superb views of Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake - is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Or on a glorious sunny evening you can join us for us drink on our terrace overlooking the Lake.

The restaurant seats 30 - perfect for a special private party or to hold a small meeting - all of which can be catered for.
We also serve exclusively Fairtrade tea and coffee throughout the hotel.
